Don't Fight It

I can't help it. As soon as I made that last list, my conscience rebelled and convinced me to stick with Space Wolves rather than go bland and colorless. So I made this list incorporating the double land raider SS/TH terminator concept.

Rune Priest - frost blade, storm shield, chooser of the slain, frag grenades

Wolf Guard Battle Leader - frost blade, storm shield, frag grenades

Wolf Guard Battle Leader - frost blade, storm shield, frag grenades
5 Wolf Guard Bodyguards - terminator armor, thunder hammers, storm shields, 1 wolf pelt
Land Raider Godhammer - multimelta, extra armor

6 Grey Hunters - 2 powerfists, 1 meltagun
Razorback

6 Grey Hunters - 2 powerfists, 1 meltagun
Razorback

15 Blood Claws - 3 powerfists

Land Speeder - multimelta, heavy flamer

Land Raider Crusader - multimelta, extra armor

Predator - heavy bolter sponsons

Predator - heavy bolter sponsons

The 3+ invuln on all the ICs from the storm shield is definitely worth losing an attack for, since wolves characters start out with so many attacks base anyway (not to mention the +2 attacks when counter-attacking). The terminators ride with the two battle leaders, serving as a retinue for one of them (thus preventing him from being singled out), while the rune priest watches over the blood claws, keeping their land raider obscured with storm caller. The gang in the Godhammer are the Sea Wolf kraken hunters, ideally going after the enemy's hardest unit and wiping it out or keeping it busy. The trouble will be keeping the grey hunters alive. I'd just as soon drop one of the squads to beef up the other, but that would only leave 2 troop units...

You should have know it was destined to be changed as soon as I told you it looked almost like one of my lists.

Are you sure that the SW get storm shields at 3+inv? I thought in their book it says 4+...

Is it worth knocking off ex armor on the rhinos to add an extra guy to the units? It seems like the units in the LRs are so much better that the small grey hunter units can bring up the rear for a late game charge.

yes, above the wargear table it says items in italics are basically the same as those available to space marines, and that there's an abbreviated version of wargear descriptions on the summary page of the SW codex, but then it goes on to say see the C:SM for a full description. And the GW wolves faq does not say any different. And seeing as how a identically equipped terminator would be 15 points more expensive for wolves than vanilla marines (more than fair for the cost of counterattack and acute senses) noone should have any problem with it. ok maybe those jealous dark angels or black templars, but they are just haters.
